On December 2-3,2025,the fourth edition of the conference “Consumer in the world of new digital opportunities”,organized by the Lewiatan Confederation, will be held.

The guest of the conference will be the Vice-President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection,Daniel Mańkowski, the Deputy Minister of Digital Affairs,Michał Gramatyka, and the Member of Parliament,Weronika Smarduch.
The main topic of the meeting will be the protection of consumer rights under transparent regulations for business – from the financial industry, through e-commerce and influencer marketing,to the safety of the youngest internet users. The event is organized in a hybrid form. On December 2,we will meet at the Targowa Creativity Center in Warsaw in a traditional conference format, the second day will be devoted to practical webinars.
The conference will open with a speech by the special guest,vice-president of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, and one of the first points of the program will be the presentation of the report of the AQUILA association: “Consumer claims enforcement in Poland and the state of rights enforcement in this area.” This report will be an introduction to the debate: “Strengthen the system, strengthen the consumer” with the participation of business, administration and consumer organizations, which will focus on the directions of changing the way of protecting consumer rights so that it inspires trust of both customers and entrepreneurs.
The next discussion will be devoted to the Digital Fairness Act. The Digital Justice Act is intended, among other things,to counteract manipulative sales practices (so-called dark patterns),increase the transparency of advertising content and protect online users.
In a panel with the participation of the Deputy Minister of Digital Affairs,we will talk about how the new regulations fit into the existing regulatory landscape (including UCPD,DSA,Omnibus) and what they mean for platforms, content creators and digital business. There will also be discussions on the amendment to the Consumer Credit Act,including the implementation of the CCD II directive. In this panel we will focus on legal and practical aspects: do the new regulations actually increase consumer protection? And are financial institutions prepared to implement them?
On the second day of the event, there will be a webinar “Young consumer online”,devoted to the threats that affect children and young people online: manipulation in social media, content generated by artificial intelligence, the risk of grooming and peer pressure. Experts will advise how to protect data, privacy and emotions of young consumers,as well as what habits to teach in the family and at school.
