On January 18, the "2025 Friendly Shandong New Year Gala·Dongying Cultural and Tourism Carnival" kicked off at the Bailuyuan Wetland Scenic Area in Dongying City, East China’s Shandong Province. The event was held under the guidance of the Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, hosted by the Dongying Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau, and co-organized by the Dongying Cultural Activity Center and Dongying Tourism Development and Promotion Center.

As night falls, more than 20 groups of lanterns in the Bailuyuan Wetland were lit up together, and the whole night sky was illuminated by vibrant fireworks.

At the event, the cultural and tourism advisors promoted a range of cultural and tourism activities that will be held during the Spring Festival in Dongying City and Shandong Province. For residents and visitors, Dongying will host over 1,000 activities in five major series over the Spring Festival, giving them an opportunity to enjoy a meaningful time in Dongying.

In the lively and jubilant atmosphere, performances such as the intangible cultural heritage of iron flower striking and colorful fireworks shows were presented one after another, showcasing the distinct charm of Shandong's Spring Festival tourism in a diversified way and creating a joyful festive atmosphere.
