Ralf Little has confirmed his split from fiancée Lindsey Ferrentino by joining celebrity dating app Raya - and has already enjoyed a date with a British actress.

MailOnline revealed there were cracks in the relationship in April after US playwright Lindsey had stopped wearing her wedding ring and the pair unfollowed each other on social media.

But by joining Raya - an app where 'like-minded people' can connect - Ralf,44,has cemented his single status and he has been seen getting close to actress Shelley Lankovits, who also worked on Death in Paradise as an assistant director.

An audience member told MailOnline they spent a cosy evening at the Frog and Bucket comedy club in Manchester where they were spotted kissing and 'acting like a couple'.

They said: 'They were quite tactile together, sharing the odd kiss - it looked like they were more than just mates.

There was another post in September when Lindsey marked her 35th birthday by admitting she was “further along than I thought I’d be in some areas. Further beyond than others”

Indeed,Lindsey's career has rocketed during her relationship with Ralf, which he referenced in a 2020 interview with The Mirror in which he joked he was 'obscenely jealous'.

He said: 'If we were ever going to be a power couple I'd have to up my game.

'Her career is exploding in a way that makes me both incredibly proud, and obscenely jealous.'

Speaking in June last year during an Instagram Q&A,Ralf admitted spending time away from Lindsay - and their dogs - was hard.

He said: 'I miss my dogs but the dogs are in America,so I miss the dogs and I miss my other half.

'But people come to visit for a start and secondly,I'm so busy and I've built a life here.

'I'm the kind of person that's very present wherever I am. So,I'm here, this is what I'm doing and I'm lucky enough to really enjoy what I do. So,yes and no.'

But that same month their glut of loved-up social media posts suddenly stopped and they haven't referenced each other since.

Tellingly,in one post Yale-educated playwright Lindsey told of 'a tough week, yet so much love' accompanied by a scattering of heart emojis, which prompted a family friend to reach out and reassure her that she was 'the full package'.

There was another post three months later in September when Lindsey marked her 35th birthday by admitting she was 'further along than I thought I'd be in some areas. Further beyond than others,' hinting her burgeoning career was progressing at greater speed than that of her personal life.

After wrapping up Death In Paradise after five series in December,Ralf appeared to holiday alone in Thailand, while Lindsey visited Barcelona,St Martin and Barbados minus her fiancé.

And when Lindsey was in the UK in April working on her new play in London,The Artist, which later ran at The Theatre Royal in Plymouth, again there was no mention of Ralf on any social media posts.

The Brit actor was instead travelling around the UK with pal Will Mellor with their Two Pints podcast.

Last week,Ralf and Will confirmed they would be making a new show together on the recently rebranded channel U and U&Dave later this year.

The series is titled Will & Ralf Should Know Better which promises to pull back the curtain on 'a bickering bromance' that dates back more than two decades to when the pair starred in BBC sitcom Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps.

Speaking about the new project,Ralf said: This time we get to explore how we should be living in the modern world while educating ourselves and having a laugh at the same time.

'I can't wait to get going.'

Will added: 'We're both in our 40s now and probably a bit set in our ways,so now is the perfect time to see how we could be doing life better.

'Hopefully,we'll come out of it better equipped for the modern world and, ideally, still in one piece.'
