As one of the key events of the first "Shanghai Summer" International Consumption Season, the first Shanghai International Cruise Festival was officially launched on the evening of August 10. At the event, a number of products centered around the cruise economy were released: Several cruise companies jointly released the 2025 global cruise routes, airlines launched the "air ticket + cruise ticket" combination product, major business districts in Shanghai released new "cruise +" consumption scenarios, and Shanghai Baoshan District also launched the "Summer Cruise Tour·Play in Baoshan" one-ticket tour of Baoshan event.
The first Shanghai International Cruise Festival will last until August 31, during which time six "Hand in Hand" cruise theme activities and other special activities will be launched to further stimulate the vitality of the cruise economy. Taking the International Cruise Festival as an opportunity, Shanghai will further promote the in-depth integration of cruise ships with culture, tourism, and commerce.
According to statistics, in the first six months of this year, Shanghai Cruise Port received 89 cruise ships and received approximately 592,700 passengers, accounting for about 70% of the country's cruise passenger reception. It is estimated that Shanghai Cruise Port will receive about 260 cruise ships and about 1.5 million passengers throughout the year. Shanghai is also accelerating the construction of a cruise zone for the "single window" for international trade, continuously improving the level of customs clearance facilitation at cruise ports, and developing a number of boutique tour routes in Shanghai for cruise passengers to attract more international cruise ships to berth in Shanghai.
