The 3rd China International Consumer Products Expo (CICPE) kicked off on April 10th in Haikou, Hainan Province of China. The event has attracted 3,300 popular brands of consumer goods from 65 countries and regions from around the globe and over 2,000 foreign purchasers from 35 countries and regions. The total number of visits to the expo is expected to exceed 300,000.
Italy, the guest country of honor at this year's CICPE, brought 147 brands to the expo, about twice as many as that at the previous edition. Besides China, 10 other Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) member countries have actively participated in this year's CICPE. In particular, brands from Japan, South Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam have been showcased in their respective national pavilions, which highlight the characteristics of key countries and regions.
This year's CICPE has brought together more leading enterprises from all over the world. Rhea, an Italian high-end coffee machine manufacturer, brought its high-end patented intelligent coffee machines, filling the air of the exhibition area with the aroma of its free coffee samples. German carmaker Volkswagen Group, a first-time exhibitor at the expo, has wowed visitors with a dazzling array of vehicles of its well-known brands, such as Bentley, Lamborghini, Porsche, and Ducati. In addition, globally renowned brands, including Ferrari, Karcher, Dell, Alienware, and Pop Mart, have also displayed their new technologies and new products at the expo, communicating their corporate images and cultures to more people.
TheCICPE has helped people visualize a better life in the future. It has provided visitors with a window on the world, and enabled them to buy goods produced in various parts of the world. The expo offers global enterprises an opportunity to benefit from the Chinese market, while creating opportunities of going global for Chinese enterprises.
